7-up chicken is a great recipe for those looking to switch up from just eating plain chicken, or those looking for something new. It gives the chicken amazing flavor while still keeping it a healthy meal. The best part is it’s simple and easy to make and perfect for those with little to no cooking experience.
What you’ll need
- Four medium sized chicken breasts
- 2 cups 7-Up
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. horseradish, (Optional) I use Kraft Sauceworks Horseradish
- ½ tsp. minced garlic
- 1 cup oil
How to prepare
Step 1. Take your chicken breasts and cut slits on each side. This will allow the marinade to penetrate inside the chicken and absorb more flavor.
Step 2. Add all of your ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix well for 3-5 minutes. Choose a bowl that will be big enough to fit all of the chicken breasts.
Step 3. Carefully place all of your chicken breasts into the mixing bowl. Make sure they are all submerged in the marinade for maximum flavor. Cover the bowl with saran wrap or aluminum foil and place in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight.
Step 4. Take your mixing bowl out from the fridge and remove your chicken breasts with a fork or knife and place them on the grill. This recipe also works well with the George Foreman grill. While the chicken is cooking take a ladle or big spoon and pour some of the marinade over the chicken. This will ensure it gets extra flavor and that we make full use of the left over marinade.
Step 5. Make sure chicken is thoroughly cooked and enjoy your meal.
