Any tips for women who are looking to compete in bodybuilding?

Progress not perfection! A lot of times it is easy to get discouraged when we are first getting started. It’s a long process to getting the results we want, but each day, each session, each week we get stronger and closer to achieving our goals! Stay focused!

What does your training program look like?

I used to do the traditional 5 days of gym, two days of rest but now I just go, go, go until my body tells me it’s time to rest. I enjoy the gym it’s a peaceful part of my day, so for me rest days are more exhausting.

Do you have a pre-gym ritual?

Black coffee & a banana! Super fuel!

What is your approach to cardio?

Many people hate cardio but I personally enjoy it! I do 30 min of cardio 5x a week unless it’s right before a competition. Stairmaster, stepmill or incline on a tredmill are my go to cardio machines.

I’m a huge golf lover, I love hiking, yoga, anything with my dogs, travelling and going to see live music.

What do you hope to achieve in the fitness world?

To inspire people to be healthy! I think in this day and age there is too much glorification on unhealthy behaviors, I want to be a positive role model for people to look up too and inspire people to get into the fitness world and be the best version of themselves!

What is your favorite song to workout too?

It all depends on my mood. Anything heavy! Metal, hip hop, edm… Anything that releases the beast and gets the pump going!
